You’re never too old, never too bad, never too late and never too sick to start from the scratch once again. - Bikram ChoudhuryQ. What should I bring to yoga? A. If it’s your first time, nothing. Your mat and towel are on us! If you’re a returning student, we ask that you bring a mat and towel or rent them from us. We also recommend that you either bring or buy water from us. Q. What should I wear? A. Light, breathable clothing. Ladies should wear fitted sports tops with either shorts or pants. Gentlemen should wear loose shorts or pants. Q. How long are the classes? A. Our classes are between 50-75 minutes in length. Q. What if I’ve never done yoga? A. Our classes are designed to be appropriate for all levels. Our staff does a great job at welcoming all new practitioners and we work hard to foster a non-judgmental, positive, and empowering group culture. After all, we all started somewhere! Q. Is infrared heat safe? A. Infrared heat is the safest form of heat. It will not affect implanted medical devices. It is a detoxifying agent and we recommend that all practitioners stay well hydrated. Q. I’m set in my spiritual values. Will the classes compromise that? A. Our classes make no reference to a specific spiritual practice. We leave that to each individual. Q. I like to know why yoga is good for me. Will the instructors tell me the specific benefits behind the postures? A. We aim to engage your body and mind. Our instructors are well educated in the physiological benefits behind each pose and this information is embedded into the dialogue of each class. Q. What if I have an injury? A. Our instructors will show you modifications that make each class appropriate for you. We also encourage that you take an active role in the health of your body. If something hurts or is questionable, don’t do it. Yoga is a lifetime practice, no need to rush your body. Q. I think I may need help with specific postures and alignment. Where can I gain more information? A. For answers to specific questions, we encourage one of three things: 1) Ask the instructors questions after class, 2) Attend one of our many workshops, and 3) Book a private yoga session with an instructor. We love educating our community!
